Winter 2022 FabFitFun Unboxing | My FINAL box!

Wait, it’s winter already?? I don’t know about you, but these past few months have FLOWN by for me. I feel like fall just started, but now the leaves are gone and there’s snow on the ground. Aaaand that means it’s time for the winter FabFitFun box! As an annual member, I got to customize my entire box. Let’s take a look at my picks (and how I’m liking them so far).

If you’d rather watch than read, I’ve got you. Here’s a video version of my unboxing!

Winter Box

Here’s what I picked in each category! I won’t list all the other options, but there are lots of really great lists of each customization option available elsewhere on the internet 🙂

Ouai Detox Shampoo + Scalp Massager

Okay, my partner and I are both obsessed with this. We love a good detox shampoo (especially Mr. Hair Gel over there), and this one smells incredible. But the real star is the scalp massager. Why did it take me so long to snag one of these? Absolute. Game. Changer. I swear my hair feels cleaner and more voluminous after a good scrub. It’s gentle enough to use every day and my hair never gets tangled from it. If you haven’t tried one of these yet, treat yourself! Not only does it feel really nice, but it’s supposedly really good for your scalp and hair health. Here’s one that’s super similar to Ouai’s.

Laneige Lip Balm

I’ve been wanting to try this since it launched! Unfortunately it was a little out of my budget for a lip balm, so I was thrilled to see this as a box option. The formula has a slightly pearlescent finish and some subtle plumping ingredients. It also comes with a little wand that slides right into the packaging so you never have to dip your finger in. The Lip Sleeping Mask from Laneige is my absolute holy grail so I have high hopes for this more wearable, daytime formula!

Short Stories Rolling Pin

Not the most exciting pick, but I’m happy with it nonetheless. The metal design means you can pop it in the fridge before rolling out your dough to keep it cooler and easier to manage. I do wish it were longer, but I can make it work. This rolling pin is waaaay cuter than my old wooden one, too.

Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Oil

The only extra I added to my box! Sunday Riley has some beautiful (and expensive) formulations. For only $15 I couldn’t pass this one up! I’m excited to incorporate this into my routine- a hydrating oil that includes retinoids? Yes please. My good friend also raved about this one (Hi Polly!!) so I’m extra hyped.

Socialite Hooded Sherpa Throw

I was really excited for this until I started seeing reviews on Reddit. Like many others, I feel that it’s thin and more cheaply made than I was expecting. I also selected pink and definitely got a tan color. It’s still soft, cozy, and cute! But I don’t think it’s going to hold up too well, especially if washed. It makes me miss my old hot pink snuggie. Can we bring those back? I feel like arm holes are way more practical than a hood when it comes to WFH or couch snacking.

MYTAGALONGS Vitamin Organizer

As someone with a few too many pill bottles, I thought this would be a great way to stay organized, especially when traveling. Unfortunately I’m not a huge fan. The color is much more mauve than the pink I expected, and the exterior is a cheap, velvet material. This bad boy is going to collect dust like a swiffer duster. But it’ll do the job!

Insert Name Here Quick Slick Flyaway Hair Essence

First of all, yes, that is the name of the product. BUT as someone with really fine, slippery hair, I feel like this could be a game changer. I’ve never had a sleek pony in my LIFE. This formula smells like peaches, so it’s gotta be good. I can’t wait to slick my hair into a real bun for ballet class.

Spot anything interesting?

Aaaand that’s everything! I decided not to renew my annual subscription, so this is my final FabFitFun box for the foreseeable future. With two price increases this year alone, supply chain issues, and decreasing quality, I felt that it was time to take a break. I’ve definitely gotten some gems from FFF so I don’t regret these past two years at all 🙂

I’ll be posting about all the FabFitFun items that I use in my day-to-day life here soon! There’s actually quite a few of them, and most of them are things that I was NOT expecting to love so much.

Let me know if you have any questions about this box, past boxes, or how FabFitFun works as a subscription service! I’m always happy to help.

As always, thank you so much for reading. I’ll see you soon!

xoxo,

Lindsay
