Farmacy Honey Halo Review | The BEST Dry Skin Moisturizer

As a dry skin girlie, I've spent a lot of time and money trying to keep my face hydrated. It took me literal YEARS to figure out what my skin was looking for and how to give it what it needed. Luckily, I've found my true holy grail for dry skin days: Meet the Honey Halo Moisturizer by Farmacy Beauty. This decadent jar of goodness nourishes my skin like no other. Let's dive into the details!

Nourishing Ingredients

Honey Halo is formulated with endless goodness. The star ingredient is a blend of honey and royal jelly, a nutrient-dense food provided to growing bees. Known for its antibacterial and healing properties, honey has been revered in skincare for thousands of years. But that's not all! Honey Halo is also packed with antioxidants and ceramides to replenish and strengthen your moisture barrier. Vitamin E and Shea Butter provide deep, locked-in hydration. To top it all off, specially formulated fig extract acts as a hydration-attracting humectant that pulls moisture from the air and locks it into your skin. How cool is that?

Lovely Little Details

One of my favorite parts of this product is the packaging! The box and glass jar are recyclable curbside. Each Honey Halo also comes with a metal spatula that conveniently snaps right to the magnetic lid (see it in action here). Say goodbye to dipping your fingers into the jar- this little spatula is addicting and wildly satisfying to use. I also love that it's not plastic. I use mine for everything!

Honey Halo, like its name suggests, also smells a bit like honey. The smell dissipates pretty quickly and doesn't leave your skin fragranced (big plus).

How to Use

Like any good, rich moisturizer, this is best broken out when your skin is extra thirsty or the air is dry. I find that applying it when it's too hot out makes me sweat. This stuff is serious, okay??

After cleansing and completing any other skin treatments, apply a pea (seriously, a little goes a long way) sized amount of product to your face. It's got a rich, buttery texture that melts into the skin beautifully. If you really want to lock in some moisture, apply it to slightly damp skin. I looove to slather this on in a humid bathroom after my shower!

I live in a very dry climate, so there's only so much a moisturizer alone can do. As great as Honey Halo is, nothing can compete with the high desert! I like to top mine off with an occlusive (like argan oil) to seal in all the goodness. The oil locks your skincare in and adds an extra dollop of hydration. A good oil won't make you greasy, either!

A Bit About Farmacy

Farmacy is one of the few big brands truly dedicating themselves to sustainability. From 100% waste-free packaging to conflict-free, farm-sourced ingredients, they've been redefinining clean beauty from the start. I'll put together a more detailed write-up on Farmacy here soon, but for now, check out their "about" page for more info.

No One is Perfect

As much as I love Honey Halo, it's not quite perfect. I do find that if I apply it a few hours before bed (as is typical for my routine) I need to touch it up. I typically use a sleeping mask or facial oil to give it an extra nighttime boost. Like I mentioned before, it can also be too heavy in warm or humid weather. The honey smell can be off-putting to some, but I grew to enjoy it and barely notice it anymore.

Change Your Skin (For the Better)

So if you're looking for a seriously nourishing moisturizer to heal and nurture your skin, Honey Halo is a great option. It's perfect for those of us with dry or easily dehydrated skin, and it's an awesome line of defense against arid climates.

The price tag is pretty significant, but a little goes a looong way. I've been using my current jar for around 6 months. Keep an eye out for sales- there's always a 15% off coupon for new customers, and Farmacy typically runs discounts around holidays. You can also use my code WILDBEAUTY20 for 20% off your entire order.

Let me know if you have any questions about Honey Halo! I'm happy to help.

As always, thank you so much for reading! I'll see you soon.

xoxo,

Lindsay
