Review | NEW Ceramide Lip Blur Balm from Cocokind
Few thinks excite me like sunshine in the winter, a good cheesesteak, or an excellent lip balm. And while I don't currently have sunshine OR a cheesesteak (rip), I DO have all five shades of the new Ceramide Lip Blur Balm from Cocokind! Let's take a closer look at these balms to see if they're worth your hard-earned dollars.
As a side note, there are no affiliate links in this post. You can trust that everything below is my honest opinion. I was sent the lip balms for free but do not earn any commission or incentives for talking or posting about them. That aside, let's dive in!

Sooo what is a Ceramide Lip Blur Balm?
Great question! According to cocokind, these lip balms are "infused with skin-loving ceramides and peptides". They promise to hydrate and blur the lips for a "fuller, plump look." They boast a glossy finish and are formulated without any fragrance, flavors, or other common skin irritants. They are also vegan and cruelty-free.
Each lip balm comes with 0.3 fl/oz and sells for $12. That comes out to $40/ounce. For comparisons sake; the Saltair Lip Oil Balms are $18/oz, Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balms are $48/oz, and the Naturium Phyto-Glow Lip Balm is $42/oz.
The packaging also comes with a little loop on the cap of each balm. Cocokind sells little charms that can be attached here, or it can be used to clip the balm to your keys, purse, or whatever suits your fancy.

Application and Wear
The balms come in a squeezy tube with a plastic angled applicator that makes application a breeze. They're pretty thick but don't feel sticky or gloopy (yes, that's a real word). The balm stays put and has great staying power! I was impressed by how long it stuck around without getting dry or crusty. The pigment is gorgeous and doesn't look patchy on the lips. The finish is semi-glossy. I think it looks great on the lips- it blurs and plumps the natural lines of the lips for a smooth, hydrated pout! You can see for yourself- let's take a look at each shade on the lips.
Shade Swatches of the Ceramide Lip Blur Balm
There are four sheer tinted shades and one clear shade of the Ceramide Lip Blur Balm:
Be Kind - coral pink
Be Powerful - mauve
Be Bold - berry
Be You - warm chocolate
Be Real - clear
Be Kind Swatch
Be Kind is a pretty, sheer coral pink. It's very soft and natural- perfect for "your lips but better"!

Be Powerful Swatch
Be Powerful is a lovely, sheer mauve. It's great for more neutral looks or "clean girl" makeup.

Be Bold Swatch
Be bold is a stunning berry shade! I don't normally like berry tones on me, but I'm in love with this one. It adds a pop of color but still looks very natural. I'm wildly impressed that the pigment is so even, too.

Be You Swatch
Be You is a cozy chocolate brown. It brings nice warmth to the lips but like the other shades, still looks very natural.

Be Real Swatch
Be Real is a classic clear balm. Apply it under lipsticks or use as a hydrating topper!

What's the verdict?
After wearing these balms for a few days, I'm happy to report that I love them. The shades are pretty, subtle, and very wearable. They're hydrating and comfortable to wear. And as unnecessary as the little charms are, they're also super cute and wildly fun.
PROS:
- Super wearable shades
- Comfortable formula
- Thick and hydrating
CONS:
- A bit pricey for amount of product
- Plastic lid seems like a lot of unnecessary plastic (which isn't recyclable, per their website)
I do wish the balms had a fragrance, but I can understand and appreciate that these formulas are suitable for sensitive skin and those with allergies.
